Dave Zabriskie has promised Planet Quirky and interview which will be posted here and at The Church of the Big Ring. Probably not likely until the ToG is over. The boys in Argyle threw the hammer down on the hot asphalt yesterday for a win. Hopefully these train robbers can keep it up. I, for one, am jealous of 80 degree temps in GA. Looking back it was 88 degrees in late April last year in Salt Lake. Feels like it’s been 42 forever. I just gave Questar Gas nearly $300 for a spring heat bill. Jeeezz. . .
The Argyle Armada was seen “warming up” before the race with special, non-argyle ice vests. Said Christian Vande Velde, “Most of our racing this year – the Tour of California and Paris-Nice – has taken place in cold, wet conditions. Today was the first hot race of the year and the ice vests helped keep our core temperature down before the race.”
One of the most unusual stagecoach robbers in American history. There is no record of Bart every firing a shot in any of his robberies. Bart, however, was not so lucky. During one robbery a bullet shot at him grazed his head and left a scar. In his final robbery he was shot in the hand. When Bart was arrested he was using the name Charles E. Bolton, the name under which he had been living for years in San Francisco. When he was booked, he gave his name as T. Z. Spalding. However, Bart’s real name was Charles E. Boles. Bart was tried, convicted and sentenced to San Quentin prison. He served his time, was released early, then disappeared without a trace.

I think Sly Fox hired a professional photographer. He eats lot of bacon and and rides a left handed bike, whatever that is. The bacon and watermelon which seems to be doing wonders for his complexion. No wonder he climbs at 124 watts.
The artwork is looking good and he’s promised a new image every day so go check out the Hustlin Life.
This is Amelia’s Peugeot (left). It’s a bit rickety at the moment. Hopefully with a little spit and polish, some tlc, and even some new parts from the retrodorks at RivenDale, we can transform it into the beauty it was meant to be. Possibly even rivaling that of Sean Cooper’s 1980 Puch Pathfinder. (right)
The perfect bike for summer stolls to the Farmer’s Market and Twilight Concerts.

My new cross bike arrived last week. I’ve been out on it a couple of times and my only complaint is that the seat is too small. So, searching for the perfect saddle, I found this gem from the UK. It’s actually a Selle San Marcos, Rolls saddle. Classy and time honored. But really??

Here is how it might look on the Nova Pro. It might be ridiculous but it’s oh, so shagadelic. I’d be the only guy in town with a British bike seat. Hmmmm.. . any thoughts?

An ode to Moss Man, who after 28 days in a hot spring emerged a changed person
"At first I was hungry, Then I just got weak. A couple of times, people came by and asked me if I was OK, did I need any help. But I refused because, I was stubborn. They didn't give me any food, but one of them gave me a beer. That was really refreshing. Probably the best beer I ever had in my life."
