Bobart is going to be a guest columnist on both Planet Quirky and The Church of the Big Ring.
I ride with Bob frequently and he is prone to spouting out some very bizarre diatribes. For instance, when discussing Floyd Landis and his heroic effort to retake the lead in the Tour de France, it was reported that he took, no joke, a total of 70 water bottles (480 ml each) from the car to keep himself cool and hydrated. Well, Bobart has his own opinion on that. He says he never drinks water during exercise.
Bobart was kind enough to contribute these pictures from the Shoreline Trail last night.
Rode for three hours today hoping to explore the dirt roads north of the city that lead out to the lake. Unfortunately, all roads were gated a mile or so into the adventure. We went on a tour of Swedetown instead. Both Ed and Victor have new cross bikes. Victor got green rims. What the hell was he thinking?

CX finals was yesterday. It was sunny and warm in December. Bart won the A’s. Art got 6th and Ohran won the A 35+. Fox was there sporting his rocker mullet. Kathy Sherwin crushed the women and most of the men. Big Ring Betty and her dog Herk finally showed up for some cowbell ringing.

An ode to Moss Man, who after 28 days in a hot spring emerged a changed person
"At first I was hungry, Then I just got weak. A couple of times, people came by and asked me if I was OK, did I need any help. But I refused because, I was stubborn. They didn't give me any food, but one of them gave me a beer. That was really refreshing. Probably the best beer I ever had in my life."
